
Medjool Date & Sea Salt Chews
A two-ingredient pocket fuel made from whole Medjool dates and flaky sea salt. Each pair of chews delivers around 36g of fast-acting natural sugars - right in the 30-45g per hour fueling window for runs over 60 minutes. No gels, no ingredient lists you can't pronounce, no single-use plastic. Make a batch on Saturday and you're fueled for the whole training week.
Instructions
Remove pits from dates. If they feel dry, soak in warm water for 5 minutes and pat dry.
Pinch a small amount of flaky sea salt into the cavity of each date where the pit was.
Press the date closed and roll firmly between your palms into a compact chew. Add a drop of coconut oil if the dates are sticking to your hands.
Finish with a light sprinkle of flaky sea salt on top of each chew.
Wrap individually in small pieces of parchment paper or beeswax wrap for easy pocket access during your run. Store in the fridge up to 2 weeks.
